Job Description
Job Description A company in the Colorado Springs, CO area is looking for a Software Threat Analyst to join their team in support of classified programs for Missile Tracking and Prediction. The position will sit onsite at Schriever Space Force Base and requires an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility to start. This candidate will interface directly with team members to analyze data generated and collected in the sensor lab, operate software and systems, and update various analysis tools and the system software as required. The candidate will need proficiency in the Linux operating system, and have working knowledge of Linux scripting, Matlab, and/or Python and domain knowledge in C4ISR, MBDS, or related modeling and simulation environments. Basic understanding of C++ programming is preferred, but not required. This position will include the operation and performance enhancements of existing software. Strong analytical skills are required.

Responsibilities will also include:
contribute to and help create reports on system performance; analyze system performance reports to identify trends, discrepancies, abnormal behaviors; software test activities; integration and message exchange between various software elements/applications; Installation, maintenance, system updates and modifications as well as occasional flight test support. This position requires the ability to transition between analysis, software development/debugging, and systems engineering tasks on a regular basis. This is a contract to hire for a large aerospace and defense technology company in Colorado Springs, CO.Pay Range:
$83,000-135,000 annually. Exact compensation will vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefits are available on day one of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave as applicable by state law. - Bachelor of science (BS) in math, physics, computer science or related engineering field.
- 2-5+ years of analysis or software development experience.
- Experience with Software Analysis, testing and enhancements
- Experience with tools/languages for data manipulation to include Matlab and/or python
- Ability to read, modify and debug scripts
- Comfortability with Linux Operating System
- Experience working with DoD systems
- Missile Defense domain experience (MDA / BMDS / C4ISR)
- Experience with C++ Programming
- Experience utilizing Qt for GUI development
