The Hospital IT Lab Systems Analyst provides day-to-day operational and technical support for laboratory information systems (LIS) and their integration with enterprise electronic health records. This role ensures reliable performance, data integrity, and seamless interoperability between systems such as Epic andMEDITECH
Lab modules (LAB, MIC, BBK, PTH), supporting clinical workflows and patient care. Key Responsibilities /Frequent Tasks:
Monitor and maintain daily operations of LIS and related interfaces. Support and troubleshoot integrations between Epic EHR andMEDITECH
Lab modules. Investigate and resolve interface errors, result transmission issues, and data discrepancies. Configure, test, and maintain system mappings. Collaborate with lab staff, clinicians, and other teams to optimize workflows and resolve issues. Perform system upgrades, patches, and enhancements with minimal disruption to operations. Validate lab results, orders, and specimen tracking across systems to ensure accuracy and compliance. Document system configurations, workflows, and issue resolutions. Participate in on-call support and incident response as needed. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, data privacy, and security standards.Preferred Skills:
Experience with LIS (MEDITECHLAB/MIC/BBK/PTH
) and Epic EHR integration Knowledge of HL7 messaging and interface engines Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Familiarity with clinical laboratory workflows and terminology Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities Please note that the final offer may vary within the listed Pay Range, based on a candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
