POSITION PURPOSE

This position is responsible for the technical and scientific site of the laboratory chemistry department . Performs duties independently with minimal supervision, operating from specific and definite direction and instructions. Decisions are of a routine or critical nature, made within prescribed operating guidelines, policies, and procedures. Communicates new materials, equipment, and procedures to all members of the team. Is responsible for delivering patient care within institutional guidelines.

Experience:

EDUCATION

Two years of Laboratory training or experience in moderate complexity testing required Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical or laboratory science and/or

Medical Technology Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:

MT (ASCP)/AMT/NCA/ASMT or equivalent certification required.

• Good Customer Service skills required.
• Communication and organizational skills required.
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude required.
