Assistive Technology Consultant Part Time

Job Duties to include: Conduct assistive technology evaluations and provide services in accordance with students' IEPs. Recommend, customize, adapt, maintain, and support the use of assistive technology devices to enhance student functional capabilities. Provide training and technical assistance to students, families, and educational staff. Collaborate with families and educational teams to coordinate assistive technology services and support student needs.

Permanent or Professional NYS Certification in one of the following: Speech and Hearing Handicapped Speech and Language Disability Occupational Therapy Special Education OR Initial certification will be considered for temporary or part time positions, but in most cases, experience in this position cannot be used to convert to a professional certificate. Prefer Candidates with the following experience: Prior experience teaching students with disabilities is strongly preferred. Experience with Assistive Technology preferred
