Yes County Schenectady Street Address 500 Balltown Road Bldg 3 Floor 3 City Schenectady State NY Zip Code 12304 Duties Description The New York State Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) provides operational support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year, supporting more than 4,900 applications for 53 New York State Agencies. Under the general direction of a Manager of Information Technology Specialist 1 (SG- 27), the Technology Analyst 1 (Rapid Application Development (RAD))- (SG-23) within the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Dedicated ITS support team, will be part of a unit responsible for supporting/maintaining OPWDD's CHOICES application, which is built on MS Dynamics 365. Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Work closely with other teams to implement and support usage of MS Dynamics 365.
- Troubleshoot and modify heavily customized forms, views and scripts to work with multiple browser types and versions.
- Develop and implement new functionality per business and technology requirements
- Ensure that the current functionality provided in CHOICES runs successfully, including web services with other systems, canvas applications, file uploads, SSRS reports, and data extracts.
- Monitor event viewers and IIS logs and other tools for errors, unusual entries, and possible performance issues and address problems.
- Communicate extensively with end-users to resolve production problems and business unit inquiries, including Level 2 and 3 Help Desk tickets. Minimum Qualifications Five (5) years of
- information technology experience, one (1) year of which must be within the appropriate specialty
Substitutions:
Associate's degree with 15 semester credit hours in computer science or a related field substitutes for one year of general information technology experience. Candidates in a bachelor's degree program with at least 15 semester credit hours in computer science or a related field can substitute for one year of general information technology experience. Bachelor's degree in any field including or supplemented by fifteen (15) semester credit hours in computer science or a related field substitutes for three years substitutes for three (3) years of general information technology experience. Any bachelor's degree substitutes for two years of general information technology experience. Master's degree or higher in computer science or related field substitutes for one year of general information technology experience.- Specialty includes experience within one or more of the following information technology disciplines: artificial intelligence, cloud solutions, human centered design, product management, quality assurance, rapid application development, robotic product management, geospatial information services.
