IT Systems & Automation AnalystDEPARTMENT NAME
Information Technology (IT)POSITION SUMMARY
- Under the direction of the IT Operations Manager, the IT Systems and Automation Analyst maintains, supports, and advances the Authority's enterprise technology environment through systems administration, process improvement, and automation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- This position supports a broad range of mission-critical technology systems and services across the Authority.
Enterprise Systems & Operational Ownership:
Take ownership of assigned systems and responsibilities while assisting with the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms, network systems, and business applications. Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and availability to proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and improve overall system reliability. Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues by coordinating resolution efforts, identifying root causes, implementing sustainable corrective actions, and communicating progress to stakeholders. Collaborate with the Senior System Administrator on infrastructure projects including system implementations, upgrades, migrations, testing, and technology integrations. Business Partnership & Visibility Partner with Business Analysts, department leaders, vendors, and end users to understand operational needs and recommend technology solutions that improve business processes and service delivery. Build visibility into business and technical processes by documenting workflows, identifying improvement opportunities, and communicating recommendations to stakeholders. Evaluate existing processes and recommend automation, system enhancements, and technology solutions that eliminate repetitive work and improve operational efficiency. Provide technical guidance, user support, and end-user training while promoting collaboration, accountability, and effective adoption of technology solutions. Automation & Continuous Improvement Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions utilizing UiPath, APIs, scripting, reporting tools, and other appropriate technologies. Develop integrations that improve data accuracy, reduce manual effort, and streamline organizational workflows. Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, that improve operational efficiency while maintaining appropriate security, governance, and compliance standards. Continuously identify opportunities to improve systems, automate manual processes, and enhance the user experience across the organization. Operational Excellence & Standardization Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures, and system documentation to improve knowledge sharing and operational consistency. Promote standardization by developing repeatable processes, reducing technical debt, and improving the consistency, maintainability, and supportability of enterprise systems. Ensure enterprise systems comply with organizational policies, cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Contribute to departmental initiatives that strengthen operational excellence, improve service quality, and advance the Authority's long-term technology strategy.COMPENTENCIES

POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED SCHEDULE

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer or business-related field. Two (2) years' experience in server maintenance and support Two (2) years' experience in computer systems automation and support Experience with current Microsoft operating systems Experience with automation tools (specifically UiPath and API tools) Experience with scripting and programming language (e.g., Java, Python, SQL), virtualization technologies, cloud environments, and with reporting dashboardsREQUIRED CERIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive experience supporting enterprise technology environments. Experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VMware, Hyper-V, or similar enterprise technologies. Experience developing scripts or automations using PowerShell, Python, SQL, UiPath, APIs, Power Automate, or similar tools. Experience administering enterprise business applications and supporting system integrations. Experience collaborating with Business Analysts, department stakeholders, or vendors to implement technology and process improvements. Experience with reporting, dashboards, data analysis, or data-visualization tools. Experience evaluating or implementing AI-enabled productivity or workflow solutions. Relevant Microsoft, CompTIA, UiPath, ITIL, or comparable industry certifications.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- This is an exempt, pay grade 16 position with an initial salary hiring range of $66,646 (minimum) to $83,308 (midpoint), dependent on qualifications and experience.
