Our client is currently seeking a

JFS - IT

Consultant 3/ ITC 3 IT Consultant 3 Columbus, OH 43215 Contract 3+ months Minimum qualifications 7 years of relevant experience in IT environment management and application deployment. Strong hands-on experience with HCL technologies (e.g., VOLT/IRIS, Foundry). Experience configuring environments and evaluating application deployment pipelines. Solid understanding of application architecture, integration points, and system dependencies. Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting application code for quality, structure, and stability. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred qualifications Experience with CI/CD tools or automated deployment frameworks. Prior consulting or contractor experience supporting environment modernization or technical remediation initiatives. Familiarity with best practices for application lifecycle management in enterprise environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities Analyze and document current application environments (dev/test/prod), including configurations, integrations, and dependencies. Review deployment processes and recommend improvements for efficiency, consistency, and reliability. Conduct code reviews to identify defects, risks, technical debt, and optimization opportunities; implement enhancements where needed. Troubleshoot environment-related issues, deployment failures, and configuration inconsistencies. Lead structured knowledge transfer sessions with internal teams to ensure long-term maintainability. Provide best practices for code stability, environment management, and deployment automation. Collaborate with IT staff, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and identify improvement opportunities. Prepare documentation outlining findings, remediation steps, and improvement plans.
