Job Description

The role You support the day-to-day technology that keeps a multi-site manufacturing business running: system and portal security, database and intranet development, ERP system support, and the hardware behind it all. You also serve as backup to the network support function, covering PCs, printers, networking equipment, and end-user support. The role spans multiple domains, sites, and business units, and hands-on hardware work is a real part of it. What you will do Install software and manage software licensing. Support migration from legacy collaboration tools to a modern intranet platform. Serve as designer, developer, and administrator for cloud and on-premises intranet sites, pages, lists, and libraries. Work with common web programming languages such as C#, .NET, HTML, and JavaScript. Develop and execute a migration strategy for existing content to new sites. Work across a modern productivity suite, including collaboration, file sync, business intelligence, low-code apps, and workflow automation tools. Help set up, deploy, and maintain network devices across multiple locations. Help maintain networks and systems, including servers, VPNs, routers, and physical hardware, and address security vulnerabilities. Install and configure network equipment to fix hardware and software issues. Manage deployment of operating system and software updates to meet security standards. Monitor systems, switches, and access points to improve network performance. Set up, maintain, and deploy new images for all PCs at supported sites. Train and onboard new hires and document hardware and software to meet applicable regulatory compliance standards. What you bring Knowledge of intranet platform central administration and site configuration. Familiarity with web server administration and platform scripting through PowerShell. Basic knowledge of several programming languages (for example .NET, C#, Java, Visual Basic, C++, shell, HTML, PHP). Knowledge of site collection and site features on a modern intranet platform. Strong listening skills, attention to detail, and organization. Strong phone support skills and a professional manner, including talking users through problems. The ability to work with limited supervision. Excellent oral and written communication and documentation skills. The ability to work under pressure, multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines. Willingness to travel occasionally. Hands-on hardware experience. Education and experience Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in place of each year of education.
Preferred:
a general IT support certification (for example CompTIA A+ or an equivalent IT support professional certificate).
Preferred:
a networking certification (for example CompTIA Network+ or CCNA). Additional certifications are a plus.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
