Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Retail Technology Quality Analyst to join a Global Retail Technology team in Lawrence, MA. This individual will support quality initiatives across Point of Sale (POS) systems and other retail applications, including inventory, fulfillment, and store operations platforms. The ideal candidate has strong retail domain knowledge and understands how technology supports day-to-day store operations. This role will be responsible for executing end-to-end testing in a retail lab environment, validating software used by store associates, troubleshooting retail hardware, documenting defects, and partnering closely with product owners, scrum teams, and other testers. The team is looking for someone who brings strong communication skills, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset. While automation experience is a plus, the primary focus is finding someone who understands retail workflows and can effectively test the applications that support them. This position is hybrid in Lawrence, MA, with onsite expectations Tuesday through Thursday.
Compensation:
$45-50/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law. Skills and Requirements 3+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or working on a software development team Strong retail industry experience with knowledge of retail store operations and workflows Experience testing Point of Sale (POS) systems Understanding of omni-channel retail processes, including order fulfillment, inventory management, returns, and store operations Experience identifying, documenting, and communicating software defects Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively with small teams in a highly collaborative environment Professional, trustworthy, and detail-oriented approach to quality assurance Experience working in Agile environments Experience testing retail back-office applications, inventory systems, or order management systems Automation testing or scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Shell Scripting, etc.) Experience with AI-assisted testing tools Experience testing iPad-based retail applications Experience working with retail hardware, including POS terminals, scanners, printers, pin pads, and payment devices Experience in eCommerce or omni-channel retail environments Exposure to SAFe methodologies Experience supporting ERP-connected retail processes
