About the
Role:
As a CBRE Software EngineerAnalyst, you will carry out Master Systems Integration of building management systems (BMS),build control databases, create user interfaces and set-up control systemsbased on project specification and/or sales proposals. Provide on-siteand remote technical support to installers and customers. Performs fieldstartup and system commissioning tasks as well as the remote installation ofsoftware and control programs. This job is part of the SoftwareEngineering job functionresponsible for delivering projects on a global scalefor large enterprise clients using industry leading technologies and processes.
What You'll Do:
  • Create complex programming using flowdiagrams, sequences of operations and panel layouts.
  • Perform programming of control applicationsusing various software tools.
  • Perform job-site system checkout,commissioning, and testing of control applications.
  • Confirm proper operation according toproject specifications, sales proposal, and design documentation.
  • Approve and develop system graphicdisplays, according to project specifications or sales proposal.
  • Provide on-site and remote technicalsupport to installers and customers.
  • Perform multifaceted system evaluation anddiagnostics.
  • Isolate and troubleshoot escalated problemsand take corrective action.
  • Document problem resolution and reportfinding back to Project team for customer follow-up.
  • Apply general knowledge of standardprinciples and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solveroutine problems.
  • Have broad knowledge of own job disciplineand some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Supportthemanagement of softwaretools.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with
CBRE RISE
values. May convince to reachan agreement.
  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardizedprocedures and practices toachieve objectives andmeetdeadlines.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in HVAC, Electrical,Mechanical or Software preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination ofexperience and education will be considered.
  • Understanding of existingprocedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Must possess core knowledge in a minimum of three of thefollowing: Building Management Systems Niagara- Required Distech Controls BuildingAutomation protocols (BACnet, Modbus) HVACControls ITNetworking Commissioning Troubleshooting
  • Travelrequirement is up to 50% of your annual time.
Trips will be overnight up to a weeklong. Back-to-back travel weeks are not normal. CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Software Engineer Analyst position is $84,000 annually [or $40.38 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Software Engineer Analyst position is $95,000 annually [or $45.67 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
