About The Company:
Our client is seeking a skilled Workday professional to support and enhance Benefits and Leave Administration functionality within the Workday platform. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a fully remote environment while collaborating with HR, Payroll, and external partners to improve business processes and system performance.
Job Description:
The Workday Configurator will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing Workday Benefits and Absence Management solutions. This role focuses on configuration, process improvements, troubleshooting, reporting, and supporting critical benefits and leave-related initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in Workday and a passion for delivering efficient HR technology solutions .
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Workday Benefits and Absence configurations, including plan setup, eligibility criteria, leave programs, and accrual rules. Support ongoing benefits administration activities and annual enrollment processes. Configure and maintain workflow processes, notifications, approval routing, and business rules. Coordinate with external vendors to support benefits and leave-related integrations. Design and maintain reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to support business needs. Participate in system testing, release validation, and production support efforts. Analyze and resolve system issues, data discrepancies, and user-reported concerns. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve overall system efficiency. Support compliance efforts related to benefits administration and leave management practices.
Qualifications:
4+ years of Workday configuration experience. 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Workday Benefits and Absence/Leave Management. Strong understanding of Workday business processes, reporting, and security administration. Experience supporting benefits enrollment cycles, leave programs, and vendor integrations. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder partnership skills.
Additional Details:
Experience with EIBs, calculated fields, integrations, and tenant management is highly preferred. Workday Benefits and/or Absence Management certification is a plus, but not required. Prior experience working with third-party benefits providers and leave administration vendors is preferred. Fully remote opportunity with collaboration during Central Time business hours.
