Military encouraged to apply. Job Description Are you a technology-minded student who enjoys solving business challenges and improving team member experience? Pilot Company is seeking a People Technology Intern to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the summer of 2027. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience working at the intersection of technology, human resources, and business operations. You'll make a meaningful impact by helping improve the tools and systems that support our team members while being mentored by experienced People Technology professionals. In this role, you will be an integral part of our People Technology team. Your key responsibility will be to support the ongoing optimization and adoption of Workday and other HR technologies by gathering feedback, analyzing system usage, and identifying opportunities for improvement. You will work closely with business partners and technical teams to help ensure our people systems deliver a seamless employee experience from hire to retire. What You'll Do Support People Technology initiatives: Help evaluate and improve the systems and technologies that support team members across the organization, including Workday and other HR platforms.
Gather and analyze user feedback:
Partner with business functions and field teams to identify pain points, assess user adoption, and understand how employees interact with people technologies.Drive data-informed recommendations:
Analyze system usage, processes, and feedback to identify opportunities for enhancements, improved governance, and stronger data quality.Collaborate across teams:
Work closely with business partners, HR functions, and IT teams to support technology solutions that improve the overall employee experience.Qualifications What We're Looking For Education:
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Familiarity with system integrations or process mapping is highly valued. Experience with Visio, HCM systems, or Workday is a plus.Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, curiosity, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and teams.Qualities:
