GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Perform advanced and/or supervisory (senior-level) computer systems analysis work. Work involves coordinating the planning, budgeting, and analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems. Administer the delivery and continuous improvement of IT Change Management services per (ITIL) Information Technology Infrastructure Library, descriptive guidance. May plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The following Military Occupational Specialty codes are generally applicable to this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Collaborate in configuring and administering the ITSM system to enhance the system's functionality as system requirements change and new system users are added. 2. Oversee the design, development, and implementation of automated Change Management processes for collecting, analyzing, and maintaining pertinent data. 3. Oversee Change Management operational procedures and standards in supports of predictable and orderly delivery of IT business services. 4. Oversee the effective use of change management data by various IT processes and assist in report design and formatting for data assimilation and dissemination. 5. Lead continuous service improvement related to Change Management policies, processes and procedures within DPS in alignment with ITIL framework best practices. 6. Lead the development and implementation of the Change Management processes and facilitate the agency's awareness of the related processes, policies and standards. 7. Collaborate with the ITSM Manager, IT infrastructure and Application Innovation teams and business points of contact to establish overall change management requirements. 8. Process Change Management requests that come into the ITSM team and plan, organize and facilitate recurring Change Control Board meetings. 9. Perform Change Management on call calendar. 10. May plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others. 11. Attends work regularly and observes approved work hours in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies. 12. REQUIREMENTS
Education
  • Graduation from a standard senior-high school or equivalent is required. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's Degree and major course work in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, business administration or a related field is preferred. Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience performing IT systems analysis and /or IT project management.
IT Service Management and (ITIL) Information Technology Infrastructure Library framework experience is preferred.

  • Must demonstrate an ability to examine data/information, discern variations/similarities, and be able identify trends, relationships and causal factors, as well as grasp issues, draw accurate conclusions, and solve problems. Technology (computers/hardware/software/operating systems)
  • Must possess appropriate levels of proficiency with utilized software and systems and be able to learn new software/systems.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of one or more (ITSM) Information Technology Service Management service desk tools such as ServiceNow, BMC, and Cherwell. ServiceNow is preferred. Confidentiality and Protected Information
  • Must demonstrate an ability to responsibly handle sensitive and confidential information and situations, and adhere to applicable laws/statutes/policies related to access, maintenance and dissemination of information. Travel and/or Schedule

A DPS employee who is selected for a position in the same salary group and state title as their current position will be transferred with no salary change. A DPS employee who is selected for a position in their current salary group with a new state title may receive an increase of no more than 3.4% over their current salary regardless of posted salary. Salary is contingent upon qualifications and is subject to salary administration and budgetary restrictions.
