MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT A
Launch Readiness and Rehearsal Support is responsible to develop and deliver planning, training, integration, and operational support for Day-of-Launch and rehearsal operations including scenarios, rehearsal timelines, requirement documentation, support plans, commit criteria, processes, procedures, products and training syllabus for government launch missions. Person will work on a small team in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment, and must be self-directed and able to meet frequently changing customer needs. Must be able to dynamically flex time to meet variable mission requirements, which on occasion includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel is infrequent. Individual will interface closely with communications users and providers from numerous organizations, at locations nation-wide. Includes administrative and staff work involving development and presentation of briefings, writing information and position papers. Individual must have general knowledge of space launch booster and space vehicle operations and processes leading up to launch. Individual should also have specific functional knowledge of voice communications transport and end systems, to include T-1trunking, voice networking, voice direct lines, Compunetix, end-equipment. Knowledge should include voice communications anomaly characterization and isolation, and general processes for trouble resolution.
GDIT duties may also include:
Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with company/customer system architecture standards. Delivering mission-unique rehearsal scenarios and timelines to support the Mission Director's Rehearsal goals. Prepare and coordinate the launch constraint criteria, day-of-launch plans and procedures for each mission. Develop and deliver mission-unique training syllabus and tools for training and certifications. Develop, update, and standardize DoL processes. Coordinate and ensure accurate integration of mission control operations documentation and test/launch operations with supporting agencies. Develop and maintain Integrated Mission Scripts (IMS) for rehearsals and DoL. Provide on-console network validation and network operations support. Develop and maintain a Consolidated Seating Plan (CSP) for each mission. Prepare Console Level Voice Matrices (CLVM) and Facility Level Voice Matrices (FLVM) for each mission. Ensure all user voice communication requirements are identified and their respective consoles are properly configured and tested prior to needed operations. Identify external communications requirements and develop and deliver requirement documents to submit to Range agencies. Train users in the operation of console communications equipment. Participates in special projects as required.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
