- Telecommunications Service Support Team (TSST) Work Location
- Remote, (DISA treats remote network access as an alternative work site flexibility rather than a contractual guarantee, allowing work at assigned or other designated locations). Scott Air Force Base, Illinois proximity is highly preferred. Security Clearance

Principal Responsibilities Research and analyze complex network inventories, technical requirements, and configurations for approximately 40 distinct customer data networks. Assist agency customers in drafting individual network Performance Work Statements (PWS) used to solicit EIS vendor proposals for Fair Opportunity competitions. Evaluate technical and provisioning solutions proposed by carriers and EIS vendors, advising the PMO on feasibility, performance trade-offs, and alignment with customer budgets. Provide highly specialized technical input for critical acquisition documents, including Bid Models, technical evaluation plans, Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASPs), and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE). Actively plan, coordinate, and participate via telephone conference bridges in the installation, scheduling, and cutover of transitioned services to EIS or alternative contracts. Provide expert engineering advice to the PMO and customers on adopting modern technologies that meet or exceed existing legacy network capabilities. Perform desk-top technical liaison functions between all DISA, DITCO, and carrier elements associated with the migration processes. Support senior data network customers through the final activation of new services and coordinate the submission of required disconnect documentation for the replaced legacy lines. Core Data & Technical Domain Capabilities Extensive engineering familiarity with wide area network (WAN) transport and access structures, including Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), Ethernet, and Optical Telecommunications Services (SONET, Optical Wavelengths, and Dark Fiber). Functional understanding of IP-based services, such as Premises-based and Network-based IP VPNs, Voice over IP (VoIP) transport, IP telephony, Layer 2 VPNs, and IP Video Transport. Familiarity with management and application services including Video Teleconferencing (VTC), hosted data environments, unified messaging, and satellite or wireless infrastructures. Operational awareness of federal provisioning data registries, leveraging information from systems like GSA E-Morris, TIBI, TBI, TCOSS, or DISA StoreFront to evaluate network line elements. Governance, Clearance & Government Infrastructure Comprehensive mastery in safeguarding unclassified Controlled Technical Information (CTI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in strict compliance with DoDI 5200.48. Direct experience operating within federal defense acquisition environments, governing engineering delivery parameters, and understanding DISA cybersecurity instructions. Strict compliance with defense personnel vetting rules, ensuring all engineering activities conform with Continuous Evaluation criteria within the Defense Information System for Security (DISS). 3, and GSA Regional contracts to the new EIS vehicle. Prior experience acting as a technical evaluator or drafting technical requirements for Department of Defense (DoD) communications programs.
