Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a Telecommunications BIM Designer to support the development of detailed BIM models and construction documentation for telecommunications, low-voltage, security, and life-safety systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks , along with telecommunications or low-voltage design experience and the ability to coordinate models across multiple disciplines. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Revit BIM models for telecommunications and low-voltage systems. Create detailed 2D construction drawings and documentation. Design and document telecom pathways, equipment layouts, cable routing, and related infrastructure. Coordinate telecommunications models with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. Use Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection. Translate design intent into accurate, constructable, and coordinated BIM deliverables. Prepare equipment layouts, plans, details, risers, and related documentation. Review drawings and models for accuracy, constructability, and project standards. Incorporate field markups, design revisions, and coordination changes. Support project and discipline leads with BIM coordination and documentation. Use Bluebeam or similar tools for drawing review and markups. Coordinate with project teams to resolve design and modeling issues. Required Qualifications 3+ years of BIM design experience. 3+ years of relevant telecommunications, low-voltage, security, or related design/construction experience. Strong hands-on Revit experience. Experience with AutoCAD . Experience with Navisworks and/or clash detection . Understanding of telecommunications/low-voltage systems, cabling, pathways, or equipment. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation. Understanding of applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Experience Structured cabling Telecom rooms / equipment rooms Data centers Cable tray and pathways Network components and topology CCTV Access control Electronic security systems Fire alarm / life-safety systems Paging/intercom Audio/visual systems Revit MEP AutoCAD MEP Bluebeam 3D model coordination Construction or installation documentation Work Arrangement Candidates located within approximately 50 miles of a company office will generally be expected to work hybrid, approximately 2 days per week in the office . Candidates located more than 50 miles from a company office may be considered for fully remote work anywhere in the U.S. Ideal Candidate We are especially interested in BIM professionals with backgrounds in telecommunications, electrical/low-voltage, electronic security, data centers, or building systems , rather than candidates with only traditional architectural BIM experience.
