Full-Time About the Role GoldenTech is seeking an experienced Senior Telecommunications Engineer to serve as the team lead for a critical government telecommunications program. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring expert-level proficiency across a broad range of secure and non-secure telecommunications systems, IT networking, and communications infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive experience in government or DoD telecommunications environments, demonstrated technical leadership ability, and the clearance and expertise to operate across multiple classification levels. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the team lead for telecommunications operations, providing expert technical guidance, task coordination, and quality oversight across all program activities
  • Operate, maintain, and support secure and non-secure telephone and facsimile systems, including engineering operations, facility and security support
  • Manage and maintain data networks interoperable with DOS proprietary networks (Open Net, Class Net), the Internet, SIPRNET, Homeland Security Network (HSDN), JWICS, and the Distributed Continuity Integrated Network (DCIN)
  • Install, operate, and maintain IT Networks and LANs — wired, optical, and wireless
  • Support and maintain Secure Video Teleconferencing Systems (SVTS) at multiple classification levels
  • Install, operate, and maintain audio-visual systems including TV, Cable Television (CATV), Public Address, Digital Signage, and Video Surveillance, including all supporting cabling
  • Operate and maintain High Frequency Automatic Link Establishment (HF ALE) radio systems — secure and non-secure — across Interagency (IA) and Department and Agency Communications Network (DACN) nets
  • Operate and maintain secure and non-secure point-to-point UHF/VHF radio systems, including
UHF SATCOM
systems (conventional and DAMA)
  • Support Secure Satellite Telephone systems (fixed and mobile) and Secure Cellular Telephone systems (fixed and mobile)
  • Administer Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS), Wireless Priority Service (WPS), and Telecommunications Service Priority (TSP) programs
  • Manage COMSEC key material and equipment supporting all listed systems
  • Support facility security and emergency operations; provide service desk support as needed
  • Train and mentor team members; deliver clear and concise technical training to diverse audiences
  • Organize and manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining attention to detail throughout Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT networking and telecommunications, with demonstrated expert-level technical proficiency
  • Experience across secure and non-secure telecommunications systems including
SATCOM, HF
ALE, SVTS, SIPRNET, JWICS, and COMSEC
  • Demonstrated experience in a team lead or supervisory role within a telecommunications or IT operations environment
  • Strong working knowledge of DOS proprietary networks, government emergency communications programs (GETS, WPS, TSP), and related systems
  • Experience with audio-visual systems installation, operation, and maintenance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to train and present to diverse, non-technical audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database tools
  • Active Top-Secret clearance required; must have the ability to obtain SCI access
  • Ability to travel occasionally to support remote locations nationwide Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting a federal civilian agency or DoD telecommunications program
  • Familiarity with Department of State (DOS) network environments and proprietary systems
  • Experience with
DAMA SATCOM
systems and secure mobile communications platforms
