Comfortable working across discipline lines, you will develop products and prototypes that bring innovative ideas to life. Joining a multi-disciplinary UX team, you will collaborate with Engineering and Product Management, using user insights to create industry-leading products. In a fast-paced environment, you will use your creativity, analytical skills, and knowledge of user-facing technologies to: create prototypes that define product experiences; launch innovative features; build tools to accelerate UX teams; and bridge design and engineering to ensure efficient, high-quality execution. As a UX Engineer, you'll weave together design aesthetics with technical know-how. You'll partner with researchers and designers to define and deliver new features, translate concepts into living, breathing prototypes, and iterate on interactions, animations, and details to deliver a seamless experience. UX Engineers also collaborate with our software engineering team to refine experiences in our production apps when necessary. More specifically, you will: + Collaborate with designers to refine feature ideas and product interactions. + Build high-fidelity prototypes, tools, and frameworks to aid the design process, and work with team members to bring them in front of users. + Update prototypes with new and refined ideas based on research feedback, and hand them off to engineering while providing technical insights. + Contribute to team libraries that are used both across our prototypes and production. + Utilize AI to improve the design system and build systems to transform the way our team works. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
