Our team's focus is to ensure our customers have the right tools, technologies, and tactics to keep pace with an ever-evolving security landscape and succeed in their pursuit to protect people and critical assets. ​Geospatial Analyst Solutions Directorate, part of the National Solutions Business Area, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mid-Level UI/UX Developer for the Maru Program. The Maru Program delivers mission-critical, modern software solutions across our customer's enterprise using Agile, DevSecOps, and cloud-native methodologies. As a UI/UX Developer, you will design and develop intuitive, user-centered interfaces for mission-critical applications. This role bridges design and engineering, focusing on creating seamless user experiences while delivering production-ready front-end solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in user experience design, front-end development, and usability principles, with the ability to translate complex technical workflows into clean, efficient, and accessible interfaces. This individual will work closely with backend engineers, product owners, and end users to improve usability, performance, and overall user satisfaction. Clearance Level Required Active TS/SCI with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination.
Essential Responsibilities UI/UX Design & Implementation:
Design and develop intuitive, responsive user interfaces for web-based applications
User Experience Optimization:
Translate complex workflows into simple, efficient user experiences that improve usability and adoption
Front-End Development:
Build and maintain front-end components using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or similar)
Usability & Accessibility:
Ensure applications meet usability standards and accessibility best practices
Design Systems:
Contribute to and maintain consistent design patterns, components, and style guides
User Research & Feedback:
Gather and incorporate user feedback to continuously improve interface design and functionality
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with backend engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to align UI/UX with system capabilities
Performance Optimization:
Improve front-end performance, responsiveness, and scalability Basic Qualifications US citizenship is required per contract Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 4-8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience Strong experience with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) Experience with modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, etc.) Demonstrated experience designing user-centered interfaces for complex applications Understanding of UX principles, usability, and interaction design Experience working in Linux-based environments Ability to translate user needs into functional design solutions Preferred Qualifications Experience with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana or similar) Familiarity with REST APIs and backend integration Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and front-end deployment workflows Experience working in Agile environments Experience designing and developing intuitive user interfaces for data-driven GEOINT applications. #Maru #NSBA If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling. Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
