User Experience Researcher - AI Experiences Position Summary We have a contract opening with our client in Columbus for a User Experience Researcher (UX Researcher) to support strategic customer and employee experience initiatives focused on digital products, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies . This role will partner closely with Product, Technology, Design, and business stakeholders to understand user needs, evaluate concepts and solutions, and translate research findings into actionable recommendations. The UX Researcher will independently execute research activities while also partnering with the UX Lead on larger research initiatives throughout the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Plan and conduct UX research using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods , including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, workshops, and concept validation. Facilitate discovery, stakeholder, and design thinking workshops to uncover user needs, align cross-functional teams, and identify potential solution opportunities. Gather, analyze, and synthesize research findings to identify meaningful patterns, user needs, pain points, and opportunities. Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for Product, Technology, Design, and business stakeholders. Develop research deliverables including personas, journey maps, research summaries, presentations, and other experience artifacts . Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle to ensure customer and employee perspectives are incorporated into product decisions. Support evidence-based, customer-centered decision making by helping teams validate assumptions and evaluate proposed solutions. Independently manage research activities while supporting the UX Lead with research planning, participant recruitment, facilitation, analysis, and synthesis. Contribute to research supporting AI-enabled experiences, emerging digital capabilities, and customer-centered product development . Required Qualifications 3+ years of UX research experience , based on education and experience requirements. Hands-on experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative user research . Experience with research methodologies such as interviews, usability testing, surveys, concept testing, and workshop facilitation. Strong ability to analyze and synthesize research findings and translate them into actionable recommendations. Strong written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills. Experience collaborating with Product, Technology, Design, and business teams . Ability to independently plan and execute research while contributing effectively within a larger UX team. Education & Experience A bachelor's degree in UX Design, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Human Factors, Anthropology, Sociology, Information Science, Design Research , or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered. Candidates without an associate degree should have at least 4 years of relevant experience . Candidates with a high school diploma or GED should have at least 6 years of relevant experience . Preferred Qualifications Experience conducting UX research for digital products or customer/employee experience initiatives . Experience working with emerging technologies. Familiarity with AI-enabled products, services, or user experiences . Experience supporting research across multiple stages of the product development lifecycle. Experience creating personas, customer or employee journey maps, and executive-ready research presentations.
