Position Description:

We are seeking a visionary and hands on Lead UI/UX Subject Matter Expert to spearhead the design and delivery of exceptional user experiences across a Large Federal Government system. This leadership role combines strategic thinking with deep executional expertise in wireframing, workflow design, usability, and UI support. You will guide a team, collaborate with cross functional stakeholders, and shape the future of our product interfaces with a relentless focus on user needs and business impact.

•This position is located in our Fairfax, VA or Baltimore, MD office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable

•Your future duties and responsibilities: . Lead design thinking workshops and discovery sessions to align stakeholders and uncover user needs. . Influence product roadmaps by advocating for user centered design and measurable UX outcomes. . Create and oversee wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and interaction models that drive intuitive experiences. Architect end to end workflows that optimize usability, efficiency, and accessibility. . Conduct and synthesize usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and user research to inform design decisions. . Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Business Analysts to translate requirements into elegant design solutions. . Serve as the primary UX point of contact for executive stakeholders and client facing teams. Establish and maintain design standards, toolkits, and best practices across teams. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . 7+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or SME role. Mastery of wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure). . Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic UX thinking and impactful design solutions. . Deep understanding of usability principles, 508 Compliance, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design. . Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. . Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field Desired qualifications/non essential skills required: Experience on a CMS project. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $70,800.00 $156,700.00.
