Job Description

UI/UX Engineer Sunflare LLC Orlando, FL Job Details Full-time $85,000 - $110,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Qualifications Sketching Bachelor's degree WCAG User flows Figma TypeScript Full Job Description At Oncologic, the interface is where a clinician decides whether to trust what our AI platform puts in front of them. We build decision support for community oncology, and one principle holds throughout: the model is never the last word. Every AI suggestion is reviewed and approved by a clinician before it drives any action, and that review happens in the UI. Design here is a safety surface, not decoration. We are hiring a UI/UX Engineer to own how that experience looks and works. You will lead product and visual design for the platform, own our design system, and design the surfaces where clinicians read AI output, check its sources, and accept or correct it. You are a designer first, with the product sense to shape what we build and the craft to make it clear under real clinical pressure. You also prototype in code and can contribute to the production front end, which is where this work earns its polish. What you will own Product and interaction design. Own key workflows end to end, from first sketch through interaction detail, for how clinicians and practice staff work with AI-driven insight. Turn messy clinical data and non-deterministic AI output into interfaces that are calm, legible, and fast to act on. AI product surfaces. Design the surfaces specific to AI decision support: streaming model output, human-in-the-loop review and approval, citation and source display, ranked suggestions, and honest signaling of confidence and uncertainty. Design system. Own and grow the design system, its components, patterns, tokens, and guidelines, so the product stays consistent as the team and surface area grow. Keep it usable by engineers and honest about accessibility. Prototyping. Build interactive prototypes, in Figma and in code where it helps, to pressure-test ideas with clinicians and the team before they reach production. Front-end contribution. Work close to the code. Turn designs into clean React and TypeScript, either shipping front end yourself or pairing tightly with engineers so design intent survives implementation. Research partnership. Partner with product and clinical stakeholders on research with real clinicians. Help plan and run it, and turn what you learn into design decisions. Who you are Design depth (the core of this role). 3+ years designing digital products end to end, with a portfolio that shows both product thinking and visual and interaction craft. Product sense. You reason about the user, the workflow, and the trade-offs, not only the pixels. AI product UX. You have designed, or are clearly ready to design, interfaces for AI features: streaming output, review-and-approve flows, citations and grounding, and how to show uncertainty without overstating it. Design systems. Hands-on experience building or owning a design system, with a real grasp of accessibility (WCAG) and responsive design. Codes what you design. Fluent in Figma and comfortable in code. You prototype in React and TypeScript, and experience shipping production front end is ideal. Communication. You explain design decisions clearly to engineers, product, and clinical partners, and you take feedback without ego. Nice to have Production React and TypeScript experience in a real, maintained codebase.

Do you have hands-on experience building or owning a design system (components, patterns, tokens, guidelines)? How many years of experience do you have designing digital products end to end, from concept through interaction detail? Please share a link to your portfolio, including at least one project you designed end to end. If possible, highlight something data-dense, real-time, or AI-driven Have you designed features for AI-powered products (e.g., streaming output, review/approve flows, confidence signaling) or worked on healthcare/clinical/other high-compliance products?
