Position Description:
The UI / UX Developer plays an integral role collaborating with the Development, Marketing, and Product teams and is primarily responsible for building and improving user interfaces. Our UI / UX Developer designs and implements the visual layout and functional interactivity of digital products, balancing user needs with business goals. They combine front-end coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with user-centered design principles (wireframes, prototypes, user research) to create seamless, responsive, and accessible interfaces. Success in this role is defined by contributing to the development lifecycle and environment in a SaaS company and learning and championing ClearHello's overall style guide and UI / UX guidelines and principles.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the Products, Design, and Development teams to help create user-friendly, visually appealing interface designs, wireframes, and prototypes for mobile and desktop applications during product definition.
- Provide support to turn functional prototypes into production-ready interfaces by translating design concepts into functional code (HTML / CSS / JavaScript).
- Conduct user research and usability testing to evaluate UI / UX effectiveness, creating a seamless, accessible experience.
- Identify and correct inconsistencies in existing user interfaces.
- Limited QA to ensure that user interface changes work correctly and present aesthetically across cross-browser/platform compatibility.
- Manage multiple complex projects and priorities simultaneously with clarity, accuracy, and confidence.
- Update and communicate with department colleagues and leadership on a consistent basis.
- Other tasks as assigned by leadership.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Mastery of HTML and CSS, including responsive and mobile and directly editing HTML and CSS to deliver on UI / UX goals without the use of GUI tools.
- An eye for design, layout, consistency, and simple, clean user interfaces.
- Experience with browser developer tools including the inspector tool, and live editing of
HTML & CSS
within developer tools.- Experience with an IDE, such as VSCode, WebStorm, etc.
- Basic experience with any web framework, such as React, Angular, Vue, PHP, etc.
- Familiarity with version control software (e.g., git), wireframe software (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Wireframe, etc.), and with JavaScript and/or Typescript a plus.
- Experience working cross-functionally with teams.

Pay Range:
The expected annual salary range for this full-time exempt position is $98,000 to $132,000. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with geographical market data, or other law.Location:
ClearHello is based in Escondido, CA. This is considered a hybrid position with a combination of both required in office days and some remote work days.
