Brite Design & Web Coordinator
Awana.org and Child Discipleship Resources. At Awana, we believe true change happens in the communities when children and youth are transformed by the gospel and engaged in Biblical discipleship in the presence of a caring adult. We believe that kids can come to know, love and serve Jesus, following Him for a lifetime. This is why, for 75+ years, Awana has been working with leaders in local churches in the US and around the world, providing solutions that equip these women and men to make disciples in children and youth. Today, God is using Awana to reach over 10 million kids in 140 countries around the world. With over 500,000 equipped leaders in 91,000 clubs/churches, Awana is able to play a vital role in global evangelism and discipleship of children and youth. Summary At our ministry, we are passionate about forming lasting faith in every child, everywhere! Brite is a weekend discipleship curriculum for preschool and elementary kids, serving churches across the United States and Canada. As the Brite Design & Web Coordinator, you will play an important role in furthering our mission by facilitating digital Brite curriculum assets from the typesetting phase through website upload. This role is responsible for delivering assigned projects that are complete, accurate, user-friendly, and within the specifications provided by the Brite Lead Developer. In this role, you will collaborate with Brite team members and others across the ministry to finalize curriculum assets. You'll thrive in this role if you can successfully combine your experience with print design, quality assurance, and digital file management while having a heart for mission work that directly impacts the lives of children and youth around the world. We're seeking someone who views these activities not just as a series of tasks, but as vital ministry work with eternal value. This position is primarily remote with occasional travel required based on strategic organizational meetings, promotion, training, or resource creation. Primary travel locations would be our offices in St. Charles, IL or Nashville, TN and various other cities as needed. This position has a June 29, 2026 start date Hiring Range for this position is: $49,000 to $54,000 annually This full-time position is primarily remote with occasional travel required for strategic meetings, typically in St. Charles, IL or Nashville, TN.

Typesetting and Printable Design Typeset copy into lesson templates and supporting resources across all Brite curriculum offerings with consistency in formatting, readability, and brand standards. Design engaging, age-appropriate printables that correlate and enhance lesson content and support various learning styles. Ensure all designed assets are optimized for both print and digital use (formatting, margins, resolution, file size, usability). Collaborate with curriculum writers and team members to translate content into visually clear, effective teaching materials. Maintain and advance design templates to ensure consistency and efficiency across curriculum products. Design additional curriculum resources as needed. File Uploading and Site Management Organize and maintain curriculum files using consistent naming conventions and folder structures for ease of access and scalability. Upload and manage digital assets on Britecurriculum.com, ensuring files are accurate, complete, and properly categorized. Update lesson content and resources on the website, ensuring alignment. Monitor site content for broken links, outdated files, or inconsistencies, and proactively resolve issues. Support ongoing improvements to site organization and user experience for internal teams and customers. Quality Control Develop and implement systems and checklists to minimize errors and ensure consistency across all curriculum assets. Conduct thorough final reviews of all materials prior to publication, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with brand and curriculum standards. Identify and troubleshoot design, formatting, or usability issues, making corrections as needed. Collaborate with team members to continuously improve workflows and quality assurance processes. In partnership with the team, assist customers with troubleshooting and resolving specific issues related to curriculum resources, providing "above and beyond" connection and support. Organizational Support and Culture Assist in uploading and organizing related curriculum files as needed. Actively collaborate in the ideation, development, improvement, and promotion of curriculum. Contribute to a culture of integrated workflow and information sharing. Contribute to and influence cross-functional connections within the Awana ministry. Support, uphold, and demonstrate Awana's cultural values in internal and external communications and relationships. Contribute to special projects, initiatives and evolving ministry needs. Embrace opportunities for professional development in order to hone your craft and expertise.What You Need:
2-3 years related experience in typesetting and/or graphic design. Understanding of children's ministry curriculum layout and/or church ministry needs is preferred. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign required; Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat strongly preferred), Google Suite skills, required. Working knowledge of WordPress would be strongly preferred and AWS would be a bonus. Working knowledge of the Bible from an orthodox evangelical point of view is required. Familiarity with the US Evangelical Church landscape, specifically children's ministry and relevant children's culture. Availability for occasional local and out-of-town, overnight travel may be required. Experience with Brite curriculum and other Awana resources is a plus. Eligibility to work in the United States is required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. Spiritual Life Must be a born-again Christian. Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Must be in agreement with the Awana Doctrinal Statement. Must be in fellowship with the body of Christ through a local church. Regularly engages in reading the Holy Bible as a guide and standard for living. Physical Demands/Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to communicate. The team member is also required to regularly utilize computer equipment (e.g., screens and keyboards) to perform work. Awana recommends maintaining ergonomic posture, utilizing properly positioned computer equipment to minimize strain, and taking regular breaks to stretch and move around. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for prolonged periods. Local and out-of-town, overnight travel may be required.What We Offer:
