11 Position Summary Due to budgetary constraints, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The Enrollment Management Reporting Team (EMRT) is seeking a creative, technically skilled individual to develop, maintain, and enhance websites supporting the Registrar, Admissions & Recruitment, and Financial Aid offices. This role combines web design, content development, programming, visual communication, and project coordination to ensure websites are engaging, accessible, mobile-friendly, and aligned with organizational goals. The Web Designer will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to plan and organize web content, develop new pages and features, update existing sites, and maintain consistent visual and editorial standards. The position will also monitor emerging web technologies and trends, troubleshoot technical issues, analyze website traffic, and identify opportunities to improve the overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, maintain, and enhance websites and web-based content. Create, edit, organize, and adapt content for effective online presentation. Develop web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and related technologies. Maintain website structure, templates, links, images, and databases to ensure accurate and current content. Apply accessibility, usability, navigation, performance, and visual design standards. Research emerging web technologies, standards, and trends and recommend improvements. Troubleshoot website issues and resolve technical problems. Develop layouts and content for new website sections, features, and initiatives. Monitor and analyze website traffic and prepare reports as needed. Manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities while working both independently and as part of a team. During the probationary period, new employees are trained on-site in the Enrollment Management Office. After the probationary period is complete, new employees that have successfully demonstrated completion of workload actions according to standard operating procedures and maintained consistency in production volume, the option to enter into hybrid or remote arrangements in coordination with EMRT Management may be available. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with responsive web design and developing websites that provide effective experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Experience administering and maintaining websites through cPanel or similar web hosting control panels. Experience working with the Cascade Content Management System (CMS) or other enterprise-level content management systems. Working knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices, including WCAG 2.x, accessible HTML, keyboard navigation, semantic markup, color contrast, and accessible forms. Experience working with RESTful APIs, including understanding API structure, endpoints, HTTP methods, authentication, and JSON data. Experience with analytics and web traffic tools, such as Google Analytics or similar platforms, and the ability to use data to inform website improvements. Experience using Siteimprove or similar website quality assurance and governance platforms to monitor web accessibility, content quality, broken links, SEO, and overall website performance. Experience using Git or other version control systems for managing website code, content, and development workflows.
