As a Senior Backend Assembly Engineer / Design Center Manager , you will: Lead or support engineering activities related to backend semiconductor assembly processes. Evaluate assembly feasibility for customer designs in collaboration with customers, design teams, and substrate vendors. Provide technical guidance on flip chip, wire bond, and SMT assembly technologies. Support product development, design optimization, manufacturing readiness, and production quoting activities. Review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, sales, and operations. Assist with customer-facing technical discussions, design reviews, and project updates. Drive process improvements and resolve engineering challenges impacting product performance and manufacturability. Monitor project schedules, metrics, and deliverables to support business objectives. Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership where applicable. Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and recommendations to management and stakeholders. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline. 5+ years of experience in backend assembly, manufacturing engineering, or related technical environments. Strong experience with flip chip, wire bond, and SMT assembly processes. 8+ years of backend assembly engineering experience. Prior engineering leadership or people management experience. Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks. Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain operations. Experience supporting global teams and customers. Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese is a plus. Experience in technical sales support, customer engagement, or business development activities.

Pay Rate:
