Project-Based Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Web Developer with website development experience within the wedding industry to support a growing portfolio of website development and web-publishing projects. The ideal candidate has developed websites for businesses such as wedding venues, wedding planners, photographers, bridal companies, florists, caterers, DJs, event companies, or other wedding and hospitality-related businesses and understands the importance of strong visual presentation, mobile responsiveness, lead generation, and an engaging user experience. This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently design, build, launch, update, host, and optimize websites across multiple platforms. Candidates should be comfortable working with platforms such as Duda, Wix, WordPress, and Squarespace , with Duda and Wix experience highly desirable . The immediate priority includes supporting website launches, GoDaddy hosting, Google Search Console, Bing indexing, and existing website projects , while also contributing to full website builds as project volume increases. Current project volume is approximately 6 websites per month , with significant anticipated growth over the next year. Key Responsibilities Design, build, update, and launch professional, visually engaging websites. Develop websites for wedding and event-industry businesses , including venues, planners, photographers, bridal businesses, vendors, and related service providers. Create websites that effectively showcase photos, galleries, venues, services, packages, testimonials, and calls to action . Build websites with strong consideration for mobile responsiveness, user experience, lead generation, and visual presentation . Work directly with clients to understand website goals, branding, content requirements, functionality, and project scope. Develop and maintain websites using Duda, Wix, WordPress, and/or Squarespace . Manage and edit HTML as needed. Prepare completed websites for production and launch. Upload and manage websites through GoDaddy and other hosting environments . Configure domains and support basic DNS and hosting requirements. Submit and configure websites within Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools . Apply SEO best practices to improve website structure, indexing, search visibility, and local search performance. Troubleshoot website, hosting, publishing, domain, and integration issues. Support integrations involving platforms such as Amazon and Google Books when needed. Manage multiple website projects and priorities simultaneously. Assist with website estimates, project scoping, and development timelines. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients throughout the development and publishing process. Required Qualifications 2+ years of professional website development, website publishing, or related experience. Previous experience developing websites for the wedding industry, event industry, hospitality industry, or closely related consumer-facing businesses. Portfolio or website examples demonstrating relevant wedding/event-industry work strongly desired. Hands-on experience independently building and launching websites. Experience with one or more of the following: Duda, Wix, WordPress, Squarespace Working knowledge of HTML . Experience with website hosting platforms , preferably GoDaddy. Experience with Google Search Console and/or Bing Webmaster Tools . Understanding of SEO fundamentals, local SEO, and website optimization . Strong understanding of responsive/mobile website design . Ability to troubleshoot common website, hosting, domain, and publishing issues. Ability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to interact directly with clients. Wedding Industry Experience We are especially interested in candidates who have created websites for: Wedding venues Wedding planners and coordinators Wedding photographers or videographers Bridal boutiques or bridal services Florists Catering companies DJs and entertainment companies Event rental companies Wedding vendors Hotels, resorts, or hospitality businesses Event planning companies Experience creating image-heavy, visually driven websites that generate inquiries, showcase portfolios or galleries, and convert visitors into prospective clients is highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications Strong experience with Duda and/or Wix . Experience creating wedding venue or wedding-service websites . Strong visual design sense and understanding of modern wedding-industry website trends. Experience developing photo galleries, portfolio pages, inquiry/contact forms, vendor pages, service/package pages, testimonials, and lead-generation landing pages . Understanding of local SEO for venues and service-area businesses. Familiarity with Microsoft Access, SQL, or database concepts . Experience integrating websites or digital content with Amazon and Google Books . Familiarity with AI-assisted tools and platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI tools, and AI-powered search tools. Experience supporting high-volume website development or publishing environments. Typical Website Project Workflow Depending on the project, responsibilities may include: Website estimate and project scope

- Google Search Console and Bing setup/submission Ideal Candidate This position is best suited for a self-directed, technically capable Web Developer who also has a strong eye for visual presentation and experience within the wedding or event industry .
The ideal candidate understands that wedding-industry websites need to do more than function technically—they should be visually compelling, mobile-friendly, easy to navigate, search optimized, and designed to generate inquiries and bookings . They should be comfortable taking ownership of a website project, communicating directly with stakeholders, identifying technical issues, and moving projects efficiently from concept through development, hosting, launch, indexing, and post-production . Because project volume is expected to increase, there may be opportunities for additional hours and continued project work based on business needs and performance.
Portfolio:
Candidates should be prepared to provide links to websites or a digital portfolio showcasing previous work. Wedding-industry website examples are strongly preferred.
