Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer to design, develop, modernize, test, and support digital applications and web solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with PHP, Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, REST APIs, and modern web application development, along with experience modernizing legacy applications and implementing secure, scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance modern web applications and digital solutions.
- Develop and maintain applications using PHP 8, Node.js, Angular 17+, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Develop Angular applications using Standalone Components, Signals, and modern control flow syntax.
- Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot legacy PHP applications.
- Modernize monolithic applications and migrate functionality from PHP-based architectures to Angular and Node.js solutions.
- Design, develop, consume, and integrate RESTful APIs with enterprise systems.
- Identify, analyze, and remediate application security vulnerabilities, including OWASP Top 10 risks.
- Implement secure coding practices, authentication, authorization, input validation, and data protection controls.
- Develop and maintain scalable solutions using relational databases such as MySQL.
- Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests while following Test Driven Development (TDD) principles.
- Participate in technical design discussions with technology peers and architecture teams.
- Support other developers with technical guidance and implementation assistance.
- Capture requirements and participate in systems design activities.
- Develop maintainable standards and scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Adhere to project timelines and identify and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing are completed effectively.
- Collaborate with project teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Use data and application insights to support technical decisions and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering development experience.
- Hands-on experience with PHP 8, Node.js, NPM, Angular 17+, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Git, REST APIs, and modern web application development.
- Strong experience developing Angular applications using Standalone Components, Signals, and modern control flow syntax.
- Strong experience maintaining, enhancing, and troubleshooting legacy PHP applications.
- Experience modernizing monolithic applications and migrating functionality from PHP-based architectures to Angular and Node.js solutions.
- Experience identifying, analyzing, and remediating application security vulnerabilities, including OWASP Top 10 risks.
- Experience implementing secure coding practices, authentication, authorization, input validation, and data protection controls.
- Experience with relational databases, including MySQL.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with enterprise systems.
- Experience writing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience modernizing legacy PHP frameworks such as CodeIgniter and custom-built applications.
- Experience with application security scanning tools such as Mend, CodeQL, and SonarQube.
- Experience performing vulnerability remediation and supporting penetration testing activities.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized application deployments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
- Experience with OAuth, OIDC, SAML, and other enterprise identity integrations.
