Job Description
Our client, a Financial company, is looking for a Senior .NET Backend & Integration Engineer for their Jersey City, NJ location.
Responsibilities:
API Development & Data Integration:
Design, code, and optimize secure multi-tenant APIs using C# and .NET Core that dynamically query and aggregate data across Amazon DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and varied external client data sources.
Technical Guidance:
Provide clear architectural requirements to DevOps and Network Engineering teams regarding application infrastructure needs.
Integration Testing:
Collaborate with network and infrastructure peers to validate secure backend connections to external client data centers.
Cross-Network Troubleshooting:
Diagnose, isolate, and debug end-to-end data routing issues between the AWS-hosted API and remote external databases.
Requirements:
This is a hands-on backend engineering role for a developer who will build and deploy a multi-tenant SaaS application on AWS.
You will write high-performance APIs using C# and .NET that communicate with DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and various external client data sources.
You do not need to perform network-level coding; instead, you will collaborate with DevOps and Network Engineers to guide infrastructure setup, test hybrid connectivity, and troubleshoot cross-network data access issues.

Expert-level C#, .NET Core
Data Stores & Integration:
Deep hands-on experience with Amazon DynamoDB, PostgreSQL (Entity Framework Core or Dapper), and writing abstract data access layers to query heterogeneous external data sources.
SaaS Multi-Tenancy:
Real-world experience implementing application-level tenant isolation, data partitioning, and tenant context middleware.
Hybrid Networking Concepts:
Solid conceptual understanding of VPCs, AWS PrivateLink, and firewalls to effectively guide networking peers.
DevOps Liaison:
Basic familiarity with cloud infrastructure deployment (Terraform, AWS CDK) to streamline pipeline integrations.
Experience:
5+ years of active, hands-on backend development building distributed systems on AWS.
Communication:
Strong collaborative skills to translate complex application data requirements into actionable tasks for infrastructure teams.

The position is not focused solely on solution design or high-level architecture; it involves active participation in development, debugging, problem resolution, and technical implementation.
