Position SummaryThe Web Developer will support the development of a new LDRD platform, with a primary focus on front-end design and development. This role is responsible for designing and formatting materials, coordinating and troubleshooting integration and interfacing issues, and ensuring compliance with Laboratory website specifications, standards, and security policies. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, comfortable working in an agile environment across multiple applications, and experienced in developing front ends using the Angular framework.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and support front-end functionality for a new LDRD platform using the Angular framework.
Design and format web-based materials using Laboratory templates, specifications, and standards.
Coordinate and troubleshoot application integration and interfacing issues.
Ensure development activities comply with Laboratory website standards and security requirements.
Support multiple applications and priorities within a highly agile development environment.
Collaborate with technical and project teams to address front-end design and usability needs.
Maintain accurate documentation and records related to job functions.
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners, as necessary.
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Promptly report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or incidents to management.
Participate in required training sessions and safety briefings.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.
Required QualificationsBachelors degree in liberal arts or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Strong background developing front-end applications using the Angular framework.
Familiarity with AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML, and related front-end technologies.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Strong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to handle confidential information with discretionAbility to handle confidential information with discretionStrong communicationand organizational skillsAbility to work through problems quickly and effectively and define a clear path to resolutionPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity withuser experience (UX) methodologies and best practices.
Current DOE Q Clearance.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple applications or priorities simultaneously.
Experience working in a highly agile development environment.
