Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Back-end Software Developer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate has proven ability to independently design, develop, deploy, and optimize secure cloud-based solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable applications.
Rate Range:
$55/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Back-end Software Developer Job Responsibilities include: Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end applications, APIs, and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies. Collaborate with product owners, architects, designers, and front-end developers to deliver high-quality full-stack application solutions. Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications in GCP cloud environments, ensuring performance, reliability, security, and resiliency. Implement DevSecOps, CI/CD, and automated testing practices to improve code quality, deployment efficiency, and operational excellence. Manage data storage, retrieval, and integration using databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB while ensuring data integrity and security. Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, solve complex technical challenges, and drive continuous improvements across applications and processes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum 5 years of overall IT experience, including 3+ years of hands-on software development experience. Strong experience developing and maintaining Java/Spring Boot applications, REST APIs, and microservices, with expertise in GCP cloud technologies and DevSecOps/CI-CD practices. Proven ability to independently design, deploy, and support scalable cloud-based applications while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Pay Details:
