Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic Snowflake Data Engineer with expertise in both frontend and backend development to join our innovative data team. Duties Develop and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and storage within Snowflake and other cloud databases such as Azure Data Lake and AWS Design and implement efficient data models, including dimensional modeling and data warehousing strategies, to support business intelligence and analytics needs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse data sources such as Hadoop, Apache Hive, Spark, Informatica, and Linked Data for comprehensive analytics solutions Build and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and Python scripts to enhance query performance and automate data workflows Create user-friendly dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools like Looker to visualize insights clearly and effectively Develop RESTful APIs for seamless data access and integration with external applications or services Participate in Agile development cycles, providing input on system architecture, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements Proven experience as a Data Engineer working with Snowflake's cloud data platform in a production environment Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, Java, and software development best practices Hands-on experience designing data models using dimensional modeling techniques for data warehousing projects Deep understanding of Big Data systems such as Hadoop, Spark, Apache Hive, and related technologies like Kafka or Informatica for data management integration Familiarity with cloud environments including AWS, Azure Data Lake, and Public Cloud platforms for scalable data solutions Knowledge of ETL pipeline development, query management, database design, and analysis skills for complex datasets Experience working with SQL databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server in conjunction with cloud databases Ability to work within Agile teams while managing multiple priorities effectively Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and innovative thinking in data engineering projects Join us to be at the forefront of big data innovation!
