Job Description
WordPress Web Developer (Part-Time) Southwest Weddings is seeking a dependable WordPress Web Developer to provide ongoing website support and occasional development projects. This is a flexible, remote position ideal for a freelancer or developer looking for supplemental work. Responsibilities Maintain and update WordPress websites. Build and customize pages using WordPress themes, plugins, and page builders (Themeco X/Cornerstone experience preferred). Troubleshoot website issues, plugin conflicts, and technical errors. Write and modify HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP as needed. Configure and integrate WordPress plugins and third-party applications. Assist with WooCommerce functionality and updates. Optimize websites for performance, responsiveness, SEO, and security. Perform routine website maintenance, backups, and updates. Recommend improvements to enhance functionality and user experience. Qualifications Experience building and maintaining WordPress websites. Proficiency with WordPress, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Experience with page builders and custom WordPress themes. Familiarity with WooCommerce. Working knowledge of MySQL and WordPress databases. Understanding of website performance optimization and SEO best practices. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently. Strong communication skills and ability to manage small projects with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Themeco X Theme / Cornerstone. Experience with website migrations, hosting environments, SSL certificates, and DNS management. Familiarity with Git or GitHub. Experience integrating third-party APIs and marketing platforms. College Degree (Associate's or above) Schedule Approximately 5-10 hours per month Flexible schedule Primarily on-call for maintenance, updates, and occasional development projects Compensation $25-30 per hour , depending on experience.
