full-time This full-time Back End Developer role is an on-site position based in Milwaukee, WI. The Back End Developer will design, build, and maintain server-side applications and APIs that power Splash Clinical's patient enrollment and clinical research platforms. Daily responsibilities include implementing scalable and secure data models, integrating third-party services, optimizing application performance, and collaborating with front-end developers to deliver seamless user experiences. The role also involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, writing clean and testable code, participating in code reviews, and contributing to architectural decisions. The Back End Developer will work closely with product, operations, and clinical teams to ensure that technology solutions align with the needs of sponsors, patients, and internal stakeholders. Qualifications Strong Back-End Web Development skills, including building and maintaining APIs and server-side logic. Solid Software Development experience with modern development practices, version control, and testing. Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their practical application in production systems. Programming skills in one or more relevant languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, Node.js, or similar). Basic understanding of Front-End Development to effectively collaborate on end-to-end solutions. Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, performance optimization, and data security best practices. Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, or microservices architectures is beneficial. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to work collaboratively on-site, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and adapt to changing requirements. Experience in healthcare, clinical research, or regulated environments is a plus.
