IIS Web Platform Administrator#26-07338 Charlotte, NC Pennington, NJ Plano, TX Onsite Contract Starts 9/07/2026 Ends 9/06/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking an IIS Web Platform Administrator for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of Microsoft IIS-based solutions, including platform design, build, deployment, patching, performance tuning, and ensuring production stability. The engineer will partner closely with application, middleware, DevOps, and security teams to deliver resilient,pliant, and highly available web platforms, primarily on Windows, with integration into Linux-based ecosystems w required.
Responsibilities:
Provide enterprise-level IIS administration and operational support for mission critical servicing and regulatory platforms Install, configure, harden, and manage the lifecycle of IIS on Windows Server across DEV, QA, UAT, and Production environments Design and support high-availability and resilient architectures using IIS, load balancers, and reverse proxy technologies Maintain production stability, including incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management security patches, hotfixes, and upgrades to IIS and underlying Windows operating systems in alignment with risk andpliance requirements Support web application deployments and enterprise releases using automation and standardized configuration templates Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and monitoring for IIS-hosted applications Work closely with application, testing, and middleware teams to troubleshoot web, Java, and integration-related issues Execute production changes for enterprise-integrated and regulatory releases with strong change control and operational discipline Ensure all solutionsply with enterprise policies, baselines, standards, and security requirements Provide technical consultation and guidance to peers, application teams, and business partners Interface with internal teams and external vendors from solution design through production support Contribute to operational excellence initiatives, including documentation, runbooks, and automation efforts
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience 5-7 years of experience supporting enterprise web platforms or infrastructure services Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft IIS on Windows Server Experience supporting multi-tier web applications, including integration with Java and middleware platforms Operating system experience: Windows Server (primary) and Linux / Unix (secondary, integration-focused) Strong understanding of web protocols (HTTP/S, TLS, TCP/IP), DNS, load balancers, reverse proxies, firewalls, and certificates Experience with application deployment and release tooling, such as: Ansible / Ansible Tower, XLR, Bitbucket or similar SCM tools Scripting experience with PowerShell (strongly preferred), Shell scripting (Linux), and working knowledge of Jython and/or Perl Familiarity with web security standards, hardening practices, and vulnerability remediation Excellent written and verbalmunication skills with strong attention to detail Experience operating in highly regulated, change-controlled production environments Desired skills: Prior experience in large financial services enterprises Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation Experience with monitoring, incident, and operations tools, such as BMC Remedy and JIRA Experience supporting high-volume, customer-facing web platforms delivering critical business services Pay range: $58.31 - $66.31 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
