Performs highly advanced (senior-level) web design and development work with broad impact across the agency's digital presence. This position functions as a senior technical expert responsible for shaping web development practices, defining standards, and addressing the most complex, high-risk, or enterprise-impact web challenges.

Work involves leading complex web development and integration efforts, planning and coordinating enhancements to web platforms, establishing and refining standards and procedures, and providing expert technical consultation across departments. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Influences agency-wide web practices and long-term digital direction through technical expertise, consultation, and leadership rather than formal supervisory authority. About the Information Technology Services Department The Information Technology Services (ITS) team advances the mission of the Texas General Land Office through technology. We deliver secure, reliable, and innovative solutions that enable the agency to serve Texans efficiently and transparently. ITS operates with a growth mindset, committed to sustainability, operational excellence, customer service, and safeguarding the agency's information resources. The Web Administrator V partners with agency leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate organizational needs into effective web solutions while supporting modernization efforts and maintaining compliance with regulatory and operational requirements. Operating as a hands-on senior contributor, the Web Administrator V serves as a trusted technical authority for web development, platform operations, and digital service delivery. The individual in this role demonstrates sound judgment, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality web solutions that enhance public engagement, support agency programs, and advance the agency's digital strategy.
