Full-time Velocity is currently hiring experienced lead installers to help enhance our team of installation professionals in support of our ever-growing client base and workload. Your role will be to install Telecom equipment and cabling in client Central Offices, Data Centers, and Headend sites in VA, MD, DC, DE, and WV.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and work with installation crews from 1 to 8 installers.
• Perform site surveys, understand technical engineering documentation, and perform QC inspections.
• Submitting Daily field reports.
• Install cabinets, relay racks, fiber duct, and ladder rack.
• Rack and stack Client provided equipment.
• Install, form, terminate, test, and label Coax, CAT5e, CAT6, and Fiber cabling to industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and correct Coax, CAT, and fiber cabling issues.
• Decommission "Dead" cabling and equipment as well as legacy infrastructure.
• Install, form, terminate, H-tap, and label DC power and ground cable from 14awg to 750MCM.
• Install Veritiv, Alpha, and GE DC plants and BDFB.
• Install 2v and 12v batteries and supporting equipment.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience working specifically in Central Offices, Data Centers, and Headend environment, with references.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience with installation of batteries, lacing, racks, rectifiers, power distribution, battery distribution fuse bays and infrastructure used in telecommunications networks.
• Must have experience working in Cox and/or Comcast sites.
• Well-rounded knowledge of Telcordia GR1275 installation standards.
• Willing to travel 50% of the year.
• Must have valid driver's license and personal installation hand tools.
