Telemetry Nurse (RN) in Augusta, KS

Category Nursing - RN-Tele Job Type Contract Take the opportunity to work on a dynamic telemetry unit within a 37-bed hospital setting, providing high-quality care to patients with a wide range of cardiac and medical needs. Schedule:

12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Active RN license with recent direct telemetry experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Experience with EMR systems (Meditech preferred) Ability to independently manage complex patient cases, including care of central lines, medication drips, chest tubes, and post-heart cath recovery

Responsibilities:

Deliver safe, evidence-based care to telemetry patients, including continuous cardiac monitoring and rapid response to changes in condition Collaborate with a team of RNs, Patient Care Techs, and Unit Clerks to ensure continuity and quality of care Administer IV medications, operate PCA and IV pumps, perform advanced cardiac and respiratory procedures Document interventions and assessments accurately using Meditech EMR Maintain a positive, engaged demeanor and promote a healthy, supportive team culture
