This travel assignment in a well-established, 26-bed Coronary Care Unit is ideal for the ICU nurse ready to enhance their expertise. Work alongside seasoned professionals who value a collaborative approach and embrace both advanced technology and evidence-based care. Exposure to innovative treatment protocols, including use of balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia therapy, and medication drips, makes this role an invaluable addition to your professional portfolio. With robust staffing ratios (1:2), you'll enjoy an environment focused on quality care and staff support. Shifts run 7P-7A, allowing you long stretches of downtime to discover nearby cultural events, nature trails, and regional attractions.
Schedule/Hours:
7:00 PM - 7:00
AM Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Current RN licensure with at least one year of acute care ICU experience BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Ability to manage balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia, and provide care post-cardioversion Strong organizational skills, efficiency, and a positive, proactive attitude Preference for candidates with prior Meditech experience and large facility ICU exposure
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high acuity care, managing advanced technology and responding swiftly to patient needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning Perform and monitor central lines, heart cath procedures, and specialized therapies Uphold meticulous documentation using Meditech EMR Maintain unit safety, quality standards, and compassionate patient communication
