Temporary Sales Support Accounting Associate - Kerrville, TX

James Avery is seeking a Temporary Sales Support Accounting Associate to assist the Accounting department with sales-support tasks, including month end reporting, accounting for sales transactions, as well as various general accounting tasks. This is an Onsite position located on our Main Campus in Kerrville, TX.

• This is a short-term assignment expected to begin in mid-June and end in mid-August.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Assist with accounting for sales transactions, including compiling support from various internal systems.
• Assist with researching, analyzing, and/or reconciliation of sales-related transactions, including credit card transactions, gift cards, and other forms of payment tender.
• Assist with general accounting analysis, as requested.
• Assist with monthly general ledger close activities.
• Assist in preparing journal entries.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Work experience or equivalent coursework in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
• Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel functions.
• Ability to effectively multitask.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to apply basic logic and understanding to carry out instructions.
• Collaborative team spirit and willingness to learn. Preferred Qualifications
• Enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's Degree program with focus in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics or related field.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Experience working in a retail environment.
