Job Description

DBA Freight Forwarding | Northern Virginia | Full-Time$60,000-$80,000 Base + Uncapped Commission | Full Benefits | 401(k) Match

We're not looking for an order-taker or a farmer. We need a relentless hunter — someone who does their homework before the workday starts, maps out a route built around real prospects, and goes out and wins. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
8+ new in-person appointments set per week Daily lead research and route planning before hitting the road 100% new business — you are focused exclusively on net-new clients
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO
Research before you roll. You'll identify target companies, map decision-makers, and plan your day so every mile has a purpose. Own your territory like a business. Northern Virginia is your market. You'll know the industrial parks, the warehouses, the logistics hubs — and you'll systematically work them. Get in front of decision-makers. Logistics managers, purchasing directors, VP-level ops leaders — you find them, get to them, and earn their time. Make a compelling case in person. You'll present DBA's value proposition clearly, handle objections confidently, and move conversations toward commitment — on the spot when possible. High-volume outreach. Significant weekly call volume, consistent follow-up, and disciplined pipeline management in CRM (HubSpot or GoldMine). Close and hand off clean. Win the business, document the commitment, and transition the new account to operations without losing anything in the handshake.
YOU'RE A STRONG FIT IF
YOU... Get a genuine charge from cold approaches and don't need a warm lead to walk through a door Plan your day the night before — you know who you're seeing, why, and what you want to walk away with Are naturally charismatic and can build rapport quickly with people at all levels Treat every "not yet" as a research problem, not a rejection Have 1+ year in a field sales or business development role with a track record of new business wins Are comfortable in an industry you may not know yet — you learn fast and ask good questions
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
1+ year of field sales or business development (required) 3+ years in customer-facing roles (required) Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience Logistics or freight industry background (strong plus) Microsoft Office proficient HubSpot or GoldMine CRM experience (plus) We are a leading freight forwarding company handling complex international and domestic shipments. Pay:
$60,571.00 - $83,676.41 per year
