Job Description
Tests, calibrates, troubleshoots, and verifies complex medical electronic equipment to ensure performance, safety, and customer specification compliance. Job Requirements Technical certificate or equivalent required Minimum 3 years of related experience Understanding of analog and digital circuit theory Knowledge of Ohm's Law, power formulas, filters, op-amp theory, and basic semiconductors Knowledge of basic electronic components, including identification of resistor, capacitor, diode, and inductor types and values Ability to troubleshoot non-complex circuits to the component level Familiarity with digital multimeters and oscilloscopes Familiarity with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, and frequency counters Basic computer skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Preferred Skills Experience testing high-power medical equipment Experience with RF amplifiers and gradient amplifiers Experience with high- and low-voltage power supplies Experience with combiners, circulators, and complex PCBs Experience using repair history records to diagnose recurring issues Experience calibrating test stations and related equipment Job Responsibilities Run tests on high-power and complex medical equipment Verify and calibrate equipment to meet customer specifications Troubleshoot electronic assemblies and systems Test and adjust amplifiers to meet required specifications Adjust power supplies to meet output and safety requirements Maintain and calibrate test stations and associated equipment to meet or exceed industry standards Advise team members on testing and quality issues Provide repair team with required test data to support accurate repairs Maintain and provide necessary data to quality acceptance team Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly workstation Follow quality and safety standards and regulations
