Job Description

Position Description:
As a TIG Welder/Installer you will regularly travel to customer sites (home daily is the norm) to install and/or erect piping, systems and equipment. You will read blueprints, plan and organize your work, measure, fit and weld according to specs. You will work with engineers and other installers to provide the highest quality systems that meet or exceed customer and industry standards. You may be called upon to respond to emergency situations (equipment and system breakdowns). You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Technical diploma in welding or fabrication and/or equivalent work experience. Has installation experience as well as experience TIG welding on stainless steel. Able to accurately read blue prints and field drawings and comprehend standard operating procedures and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Must be able to accurately measure using tape measure and other measuring devices. Must possess strong communication, problem solving and organization skills. Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, working overhead and standing for long periods of time while performing job tasks. Able to perform manual material handling, sorting, lifting, and carrying of assorted sized items up to 60 pounds. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Commitment to quality and safety excellence a must. Must be reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Capable of working independently and within a team-focused work group. Duties & Responsibilities:
Read blue prints and field drawings to accurately plan and layout work to install and/ or erect piping, systems and equipment. Ensure use of correct materials and accurate dimensions while minimizing product waste. Measure, fit and weld stainless steel piping, systems and equipment. Regularly inspect work to ensure quality, excellent craftsmanship and conformance to specs. Weld and fabricate components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Perform fabrication and welding work in confined spaces and/or elevated heights. Safely and efficiently operate fork lifts, overhead cranes and scissor lifts to load and unload parts from machines, fixtures and work areas. Efficiently and effectively perform all work tasks ensuring the highest level of employee safety, product quality and team work. Show a strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer service. Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed. Other duties as assigned.
