Job Summary:
The Timekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate employee attendance and time records to support payroll and HR operations within a fast paced environment. This role works closely with employees, managers, payroll teams, and HR partners to ensure timely resolution of timekeeping issues and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and experience handling confidential employee information. This position requires excellent communication skills, data accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain employee attendance and timekeeping records within the designated system. Review and validate employee time entries for accuracy, completeness, and compliance requirements. Assist employees and managers with timekeeping corrections, approvals, and system related questions. Coordinate with payroll and HR teams to ensure accurate processing of employee work hours and leave balances. Generate and distribute attendance and timekeeping reports for leadership review and internal audits. Support onboarding and employee training related to timekeeping procedures and systems. Identify discrepancies, policy concerns, or system issues and escalate them to the appropriate teams. Maintain confidentiality of employee data and ensure secure recordkeeping practices.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 1 to 2 years of experience in payroll, timekeeping, HR administration, or workforce support. Experience using timekeeping systems such as Workday, ADP, Kronos, or ERP system platforms. Strong Excel and administrative reporting skills. Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a deadline driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher preferred. Experience supporting large multi site organizations. Knowledge of wage and hour compliance regulations. Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills preferred.
