Title and Registration Specialist

Employees in this class are responsible for serving the public in processing vehicle registrations and license tags. Work involves public contact functions and the utilization of specialized software from the department of motor vehicles. Considerable detailed knowledge of North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles policies and state laws regarding a wide variety of detailed vehicle registration and licensing procedures, as well as tact and courtesy, are required in these public contact functions. Work is performed under general supervision and is evaluated through conferences, by accuracy and timeliness of customer service records and bills, and thoroughness of assigned responsibilities
