Title I Paraprofessional

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support students at Daly Elementary as a Title I Paraprofessional. This position involves working closely with teachers and students to enhance educational experiences and provide targeted assistance to students in need. In this role, you will: Facilitate small group instruction to support student learning. Assist Title I staff with lesson preparation and classroom materials. Support grade-level and school-wide assessment processes. Supervise students during recess to ensure a safe and positive environment. Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering instructional activities and support to students, particularly those who are at risk of academic failure.
• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students, reinforcing skills and concepts taught in the classroom.
• Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources to enhance learning experiences.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) as necessary.
• Support the implementation of interventions and strategies designed to improve student performance in reading, math, and other subjects.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering a sense of belonging among all students.
• Assist with classroom management and facilitate a safe and productive learning atmosphere.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions as required.
• Communicate effectively with students and teachers to support student learning and progress. Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques, particularly for at-risk students.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
• Ability to adapt to various learning styles and needs of students.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
• Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check per school board policy.
