I will discuss patient's information only in the course of my duties and never in open areas such as hallways, snack bar, etc., where it might be overheard by visitors or other patients, or outside of the hospital while off duty. I also understand that information in some patient's records may be governed by federal regulation and that disclosure of such information is punishable by fine or imprisonment, even after I leave the employment of the facility. I certify that I have completed HIPAA training and will honor all policies and procedures. I understand that violations of these policies and procedures may result in sanctions. Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing support to the Cardiology Department by performing secretarial duties and general clerical work as well as assisting them with scheduling and other duties as assigned. II.

Experience:
Previous clerical experience preferred Special qualifications: Must have the ability to organize and prioritize tasks appropriately and possess excellent composition and oral communication skills, excellent computer skills preferred, with experience in data entry and scanning. Must be able to interact with people from different educational and socio-economic backgrounds. Must be flexible and possess the ability to deal with change and display tact and diplomacy in many different situations. III.
Degree of Supervision Required:
Minimal supervision. Most job duties should be performed independently and in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. IV.
Ages of Patients Served:
This position requires competence in greeting patients upon arrival, as well as gathering insurance and demographic information from the patient. Physical Requirements:
Constant:
sitting, seeing, hearing, and finger dexterity. Constant concentration in fine details with frequent interruptions.
Occasional:
pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, using arm, leg and back muscles maybe required. May be expected to lift less than 25 pounds. Manage stress appropriately, handle multiple priorities. Make decisions under stress. Work along and manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. VII.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Simple mask or N95 may be required in certain situations.
