Job Description

Position Summary The Tool & Die Maker under general supervision and without technical guidance, other than Engineering input, is able to perform the most difficult die and component repair work. The primary focus of this position will be to focus on high-speed contact dies which utilize thin raw materials and extremely close tolerances in order to: Consistently work to the tenths on piece parts. Consistently working with thin materials from .001 - .008. Consistently grinding (carbide and/or steel) down to the tenths. Consistently dressing diamond wheels properly Consistently working at speeds up to 1500 SPM on high-speed presses. Consistently maintain and/or repair dies in order to have products come off the dies that meet the job specifications. Requirements Minimum of 6 -10 years of Tool & Die Making experiences, specifically in tight tolerance contact dies. High School diploma or equivalent. Formal Tool & Die Apprenticeship (Preferred or equivalent work experience) Journeyman's Certificate for Tool & Die Skills and Abilities Strong math skills are required Good knowledge of die component terminology Knowledge of industry 3D software Intermediate use of Microsoft software and computers Demonstrates the ability to use all hand tools, measuring devices and machine tools common to the Journeyman Tool & Die Maker required in the tool building and/or maintenance areas. Hours and Salary 1st Shift - Monday through Friday $36 - $48/hr. (based on experience)
