Description Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. One of the most ambitious missions that Amazon Leo has undertaken to date, the Amazon Leo satellite constellation, is our solution to providing reliable internet to the entire world. We are looking for talented technicians to help full-scale production of the Amazon Leo satellites. The success of Amazon Leo depends on the quality, reliability, cost, manufacturability, throughput, and security of the products that you deliver.   • Precision assembly of custom tooling and equipment
  • Modification and repair of custom tooling
  • Delegate project tasks
  • Ownership of project execution
  • Track and report project status to stakeholders
  • Coaching and mentoring team members
  • Receiving, tracking, and kitting project build materials
  • Ensuring work spaces remain organized and stocked
  • Identify and communicate potential build process improvements
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. About the team Leo Tooling Ops provides on site expert technical support focused in the fields of Control Systems Builds, Welding, Machining, Metal Fabrication, Laser Tracking, Precision Assembly and DFM. Basic Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • 4+ years professional experience with complex precision assembly
  • Able to lift up to 49 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of team leadership experience
  • Experience with common shop metrology equipment ( calipers, micrometers, dial indicators etc) and able to reliably measure to
