Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tooling Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of tooling used in casting operations. This role works closely with internal teams, including the pattern shop, to ensure tooling meets quality, dimensional, and production requirements. This is a hands-on engineering position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with internal teams to support tooling design, modifications, and improvements Review casting layouts and tooling designs to ensure accuracy and manufacturability Coordinate daily activities and communicate progress with tooling leadership Work directly with pattern shop personnel to guide tooling builds and corrections Participate in project and quote reviews, providing technical input as needed Troubleshoot tooling-related issues and implement effective solutions Support dimensional verification and layout processes for tooling and castings Qualifications Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints Proficiency with CAD/CAM software Experience reviewing casting designs and tooling layouts Excellent communication skills across multiple levels of an organization Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Preferred Experience 5+ years of experience in tooling, manufacturing, or foundry environments Prior experience supporting casting or pattern shop operations is a plus Education Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred Travel Occasional travel may be required, including visits to other facilities or customer sites (typically day trips) Work Environment Primarily office-based with regular interaction on the production floor Additional Skills Strong organizational and planning capabilities Solid math and reasoning skills Proficiency with standard business software (Excel, presentations, etc.)
